Protinus IT wins ROAD2023 tender

The Government Procurement Category Data Centres has awarded the ROAD2023 tender to Protinus IT, among others. Together with its highly qualified and specialist partners, including Conscia and Quanza, Protinus IT will provide the participating government departments with network and security products and services over the next three years. The nearly 70 participants (including the Tax and Customs Administration, the Ministry of Defence, SSC-ICT, RWS, JIO, ODC-Noord and DICTU) will each join ROAD2023 as soon as their previous (ROAD) agreement has ended.
On Tuesday, 28 January, the contract was signed in a festive ceremony attended by Drs. J.A. van Delden, Quartermaster Deputy Secretary-General at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and Vincent Verbiesen, Managing Director of Protinus IT.
ROAD2023 offers all the products and services needed to build and maintain (software-based) network infrastructures. These include (W)LAN and WAN equipment, security solutions, network management and security software, and Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) services.
Protinus distinguished itself positively within various award criteria thanks to its partner model and its status and approach to sustainability. The availability of expertise within this partner model, including trends and developments and the scope of the portfolio, was also highly appreciated.
Vincent Verbiesen spoke enthusiastically about the advantages this contract offers: “We supply products from any desired supplier, combined with top-quality service from various partners such as Conscia and Quanza. In addition, Corporate Social Responsibility plays a central role within ROAD2023. Since its inception, Protinus IT has had a strong focus on sustainability and has proven that it meets the strict quality requirements with one of the highest scores within EcoVadis Platinum.”
The estimated value of this ROAD tender is €320 million and it has a term of three years with the option to extend for one year.
With this award, Protinus now serves the three main categories of its portfolio for virtually the entire central government: Workplace Equipment (IWR), Software (EAP) and Infrastructure (ROAD).
